General Intuition, a New York-based AI startup training generalized agents to navigate physical space and time, is in talks to close a funding round at a $6 billion pre-money valuation. New investors Valor Equity Partners, Point72 Ventures, and Seven Seven Six join existing backers Khosla Ventures and General Catalyst in the round, which follows a $320 million raise at a $2.3 billion valuation just weeks ago.
The company spun out from Medal, Pim de Witte’s video game clip-sharing platform, using gameplay data and action labels to train its models. Investor Vinod Khosla argues those labels are critical to building models that generalize beyond their training tasks. General Intuition is still finalizing the round, with sources calling it oversubscribed as investor interest grows.
Funds will focus on refining the general model and expanding into robotic embodiments, including infrastructure partnerships with CoreWeave and new hires. Valor’s involvement marks its first AI lab investment since backing SpaceX.
