Williams will open its first-ever Formula 1 fan zone in Madrid next month, running from September 7–13 at Plaza del Callao. The free public event coincides with the Spanish Grand Prix and will feature appearances by Carlos Sainz, team principal James Vowles, and reserve driver Luke Browning.
Visitors can inspect a full-scale FW48 show car, try the new Madrid circuit in simulators, and purchase a Madrid-exclusive merchandise line. A special-edition Williams x Marvel comic created for the city will be available, alongside partner activations like Kraken’s reaction-ring challenge and Estrella’s alcohol-free beer bar. The fan zone will also display helmets and trophies from Williams’ Spanish racing history, including wins by Sainz, Marc Gené, and Alain Prost.
Organized with support from Madrid City Council, the initiative aims to make F1 more accessible beyond race weekends. It marks the fifth season of Williams’ fan zone concept, which has drawn nearly half a million visitors globally. The Madrid event runs daily from September 7–13, with extended hours on race weekend.
