Mark Webber, who manages Oscar Piastri, has publicly rejected recent speculation that the Australian driver could be part of a swap with Max Verstappen at McLaren, describing the reports as fictional.
Piastri, who signed a multi‑year deal with the team, told reporters at the British Grand Prix that he is happy with his contract and the squad. Webber backed that view, stating the driver is secured for the foreseeable future and that talk of him leaving is nonsense. McLaren CEO Zak Brown echoed the sentiment, saying he is satisfied with the current driver pairing of Piastri and Lando Norris and sees no reason for change.

With both the driver’s manager and team leadership reinforcing the same message, the rumor mill is likely to quiet down, allowing McLaren to focus on performance as the season progresses.
