Yuki Tsunoda made a surprise return to Formula 1 after Isack Hadjar’s wrist injury forced him out of the seat at Red Bull. Liam Lawson was drafted in from Racing Bulls to replace Hadjar, leaving Tsunoda free to step back into the cockpit after his own summer absence.
Tsunoda said he received the call only on Tuesday, just days before the Zandvoort race. The Japanese driver described the timing as sudden, arriving at the paddock with little notice to resume his F1 campaign.
