Fabio Quartararo secured his best MotoGP finish since Catalunya with eighth place at Assen. The Monster Yamaha rider described the race as “long, physical, not really enjoyable” due to arm pump.
Quartararo estimated the arm pain cost him several seconds but did not change the outcome. He attributed the recurrence of arm pump to the combination of Assen's layout and Yamaha's “super heavy” V4.

Team-mate Alex Rins finished just behind Quartararo for a double Yamaha top ten. Despite the challenges, Quartararo believes they maximized their performance with the result.
