Reigning IndyCar champion Alex Palou said he feels both sadness and gratitude after long‑time teammate Scott Dixon announced he will leave Chip Ganassi Racing at the close of the season, ending a partnership that has defined the team for years.
Palou, 29, noted that his own rise to the top would not have happened without Dixon’s guidance, and with the four‑time champion departing, the Spaniard becomes the de facto leader and most tenured driver at CGR moving forward.
The departure raises questions about Dixon’s next destination and how Ganassi will reshape its driver lineup for 2025.
