The Trackhouse Aprilia rider, who sits 37 points behind championship leader Jorge Martin with 10 rounds remaining, will miss the weekend and cede ground in the title fight.
The injury surfaced after Ogura returned to Europe, prompting Aprilia tester Lorenzo Savadori to step in as his replacement. Trackhouse initially published a media schedule listing Ogura before announcing his absence late Thursday, underscoring the late nature of the development.
Ogura, set to join Yamaha’s factory team next season, now faces a crucial gap in the points race as the championship tightens with fewer rounds left.
