NASCAR's garage operation is putting together a temporary circuit on Naval Base Coronado in San Diego, with construction slated to finish within the next few days.
The makeshift track will span 3.4 miles and incorporate 16 distinct turns, a layout that promises to challenge drivers regardless of their experience. Officials describe the venue as one of the toughest tests the series has seen, aiming to push both seasoned pros and newcomers.
When the course opens, teams will use it as a high‑intensity rehearsal ahead of upcoming races, fine‑tuning setups and gathering data to inform their season strategies.
