MotoGP is considering a controversial one-bike rule for the 2027 season. The proposal, aimed at reducing costs, has been met with criticism from fans and teams.
MotoGP chief Carlos Ezpeleta confirmed that regulatory changes, including the one-bike rule, are under discussion. However, he noted that the flag-to-flag rule will remain, allowing two bikes for races.

The introduction of a one-bike rule may be accompanied by shorter practice sessions. Ezpeleta stated that announcements on regulatory changes for 2027 will be made in the coming months, following approval by the Grand Prix Commission.
