The first stage of Alpine's Right of Review hearing revealed that the unusually high number of pitlane speeding penalties during the Monaco Grand Prix was caused by an issue with the official timing system.
Five drivers were penalised for pitlane speeding during the race, with Pierre Gasly receiving two separate five-second penalties.
The issue has raised concerns about the reliability of the timing system, with Oscar Piastri stating that such problems 'shouldn't be happening in Formula 1'.
