Mercedes is facing a major challenge in the Formula 1 season due to its reliability issues. The team has lost a significant number of points to mechanical failures, with Kimi Antonelli and George Russell both suffering race-ending problems.
Team principal Toto Wolff has expressed his concern, stating that the team cannot afford to continue losing points in this way. Mercedes has lost more points than any other top team, with 43 points lost to reliability issues.

The team is working to understand the cause of the failures, with a thorough investigation into Russell's Montreal failure yet to start. Wolff has emphasized the importance of reliability, saying that the team needs to 'get on top of' the issue in order to finish first.
