Nigel Mansell's 1987 Formula 1 season is often considered one of the best non-title winning seasons in the sport's history. Mansell took six race wins and half of the pole positions that season.
The helmet and gloves used by Mansell during that season are now up for auction as part of the Motorsport Icons Live Auction. The items have been hand-signed by Mansell and come directly from his own collection.
The auction will take place on July 7 at the Silverstone Museum and will feature a number of rare collectables and memorabilia from legendary motorsport icons.
