Italian driver Kimi Antonelli became the youngest ever winner of the Monaco Grand Prix, taking the 2026 race at just 19 years, nine months and 13 days old.
He joins a list that includes Niki Lauda, who won in 1975 at 26 years, two months and 19 days; Kimi Räikkönen, 25 years, seven months and five days in 2005; Lando Norris, 25 years, six months and 12 days in 2025; Michael Schumacher, 25 years, four months and 12 days in 1994; Fernando Alonso, 24 years, nine months and 30 days in 2006; Bruce McLaren, 24 years, nine months and four days in 1962; Sebastian Vettel, 23 years, ten months and 26 days in 2011; Max Verstappen, 23 years, seven months and 23 days in 2021; and Lewis Hamilton, 23 years, four months and 18 days in 2008.

Antonelli’s triumph also delivered his first Grand Slam – pole, win, fastest lap and leading every lap – and widened his championship lead to 66 points after just six rounds. The record underscores the accelerating rise of teenage talent on the demanding Monte Carlo streets, and observers will be watching whether he can sustain the advantage as the season progresses.
