Jorge Martin has spoken out about the causes of the Hungary MotoGP crash, disagreeing with his team boss Massimo Rivola's assessment that rider error was to blame. Martin's crash at turn one took out several riders, including championship leader Marco Bezzecchi.
Martin believes the asphalt at turn one, which had been resurfaced after the WorldSBK race, was a factor in the crash. He also thinks the removal of start devices could reduce the risk of similar crashes in the future.

The crash occurred when Martin lost control of his bike while braking for the first turn, and he insists he didn't make a mistake in braking. Martin hopes to learn from the mistake and move forward, acknowledging that sometimes crashes happen in racing.
