Jorge Martin and Ai Ogura will join the Monster Yamaha team for the 2027 MotoGP season. The two riders have signed two-year deals, forming an all-new factory Yamaha line-up. Martin, currently leading the title chase, and Ogura, who recently claimed his first grand prix victory, will compete in the new 850cc era.
The move comes after the departure of Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins was officially announced. Yamaha's managing director, Paolo Pavesio, expressed excitement about the new lineup, citing Martin's proven speed and determination, as well as Ogura's talent and potential.

With half of the season still to go, Martin and Ogura are both in title contention, with Martin fighting to repeat his Pramac Ducati feat of winning the MotoGP title and taking the No.1 plate to a new manufacturer.
