Gresini Racing has unveiled its 2027 MotoGP roster, confirming that Joan Mir and Dani Holgado will take the team’s two spots. The announcement also states that Alex Marquez and Fermin Aldeguer will part ways with the outfit after the 2026 campaign.
Marquez’s three‑year stint with Gresini saw a dramatic turnaround. After two modest seasons at LCR Honda, he earned two podiums and a pole in 2023, finished ninth overall, and then claimed a win and a runner‑up finish in 2024. In 2025 he captured three victories, twelve podiums and finished second in the championship, prompting a switch to the latest GP26 bike and a win at Jerez before a crash in Catalunya halted his momentum. He is set to return to factory‑team status with KTM for 2027. Aldeguer, who joined Gresini in 2025, quickly rose to the podium at Le Mans, followed by a second place in Austria and a maiden win in Indonesia, ending the year eighth overall. A fractured femur and a later injury at Assen limited his 2026 season, and he will move to the VR46 squad next year.

The departures clear the way for Mir and Holgado to start fresh with Gresini, while fans can look forward to Marquez’s factory comeback and Aldeguer’s VR46 debut in the coming season.
