Ford is looking to bring Red Bull Formula 1 driver Max Verstappen into its sportscar racing program. Verstappen has expressed interest in competing in the Le Mans 24 Hours, which aligns with Ford's plans to enter the Hypercar class in 2027.
Ford Racing's global director, Mark Rushbrook, confirmed that the company has conversations with Verstappen about driving Ford's cars in the future. Rushbrook praised Verstappen's racing spirit and expressed hope for a future partnership.
Daniel Ricciardo, Verstappen's former F1 teammate, is also on Ford's radar for a competitive outing. Ricciardo has shown interest in off-road racing, particularly with Ford's Raptor truck line, and Rushbrook has hinted at a possible competition with Ricciardo in the future.
