The FIA World Endurance Championship confirmed that the 6 Hours of Silverstone will rejoin the 2027 calendar, running from April 23 to 25. The event will be the third round of the season, sandwiched between the 6 Hours of Imola and the TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa‑Francorchamps, as the series expands to nine races.
Silverstone’s 5.891 km Grand Prix Circuit, famed for corners such as Copse, Stowe, Maggots and Becketts, has hosted eight WEC rounds between 2012 and 2019. The venue’s endurance pedigree stretches back to 1948, with past winners including Riccardo Patrese, Jochen Mass and Le Mans legends Tom Kristensen and Jacky Ickx. The return marks the first British round in eight years.

The 2027 grid will feature Hypercar heavyweights – Ferrari, Aston Martin, Ford, McLaren and Toyota – alongside a full LMGT3 field that has already delivered victories for seven brands in 18 races. FIA WEC CEO Frédéric Lequien praised the circuit’s engineering challenge and the enthusiasm of British fans, while Silverstone CEO Stuart Pringle said the championship’s spectacle “must be experienced to be believed.” Tickets will go on sale soon.
