The FIA, ACO and IMSA have jointly unveiled the draft rules that will govern the top‑class prototype sports cars from the 2030 season onward. The announcement marks the first concrete step toward a single technical platform that will replace the current divergent specifications across the three series.
All three organisations said the new framework aims to streamline development, cut costs and create a unified field for manufacturers competing in endurance racing. Details of the technical parameters remain to be finalised, with further consultations scheduled before the regulations are formally adopted.
