Sky Sports Formula 1 analyst Jamie Chadwick attributes the Ferraris' under‑performance at the Austrian Grand Prix to a blend of reduced straight‑line speed and persistent overheating. The problems forced Lewis Hamilton to fall to second place in the championship standings, while teammate Charles Leclerc also struggled.
Ferrari had arrived at the Red Bull Ring expecting to leverage recent aerodynamic upgrades and the momentum generated by Hamilton's victory in Barcelona. The combination of the speed deficit and thermal issues, however, prevented the team from capitalising on those gains.
