Ferrari confirmed it will introduce an engine upgrade permitted under Formula 1’s Additional Development and Upgrade Opportunities (ADUO) rules at this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix in Monza.
The upgrade comes after reliability checks and an official determination that Ferrari is more than 4% below the ADUO benchmark, allowing the team two permitted upgrades this season. Alongside the engine change, Ferrari will bring aerodynamic refinements and parts tailored for Monza’s high-speed demands.
The updates mark a strategic push to close the performance gap as the season progresses, with the Italian GP serving as a critical test ahead of the championship’s final stretch.
