Eight‑year‑old George Norris has been crowned the United Kingdom’s inaugural Hot Wheels Tiniest Team Principal. The young fan beat dozens of entries after a video showcasing his imagination, engineering know‑how and love for Formula 1 impressed judges that included 2009 world champion Jenson Button and F1 chief Stefano Domenicali. George said he “couldn’t stop smiling” when he learned he had won, noting the competition was tougher than he expected.
The contest, which opened in May for children aged five to ten, rewarded the winner with a VIP weekend at the 2026 British Grand Prix in Silverstone. George toured the paddock, met drivers and team bosses, and spent time with McLaren’s Lando Norris and principal Andrea Stella. He described the race itself as the highlight of the trip, calling it “very exciting” and his first live Grand Prix experience.
Back at school, his classmates and teachers were thrilled by the video that earned him the title. As part of the prize, George and his family will travel to California later this year to collaborate with Hot Wheels designers on a one‑off F1 car, giving the youngster a chance to shape future liveries.
