Carlos Ezpeleta has been promoted to Deputy CEO of MotoGP Group, joining his father Carmelo Ezpeleta in senior leadership. The move reflects Liberty Media’s long-term confidence in the Ezpeleta family, which has led MotoGP since the commercial rights were acquired in 2024.
Carlos Ezpeleta, previously chief commercial officer, brings years of experience across the business to the new role. Both he and his father emphasized the sport’s growth potential and the need to expand its global reach. Liberty Media CEO Derek Chang highlighted Ezpeleta’s vision as key to MotoGP’s next phase.

MotoGP has not yet named a successor for Ezpeleta’s former position as chief sporting officer. The reshuffle comes as the series prepares for the 2026 Aragon Grand Prix, with several riders facing late changes to their schedules.
