Williams announced that reserve driver Luke Browning will take part in FP1 at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza, replacing Alex Albon. The 24-year-old Briton, who joined Williams’ Driver Academy in 2023, will make his second FP1 appearance of the season.
Browning has driven Williams’ 2026 car in five practice sessions this year, including a P18 finish at the Red Bull Ring with a deficit of three-tenths to Albon. He also contributed to simulator work amid a challenging season for the team, which has struggled with pace and late development.

The session starts at 12:30 local time on September 4, giving Browning another chance to gather data and support Williams’ progress. He called the opportunity invaluable for his development and the team’s efforts.
