Marco Bezzecchi has extended his MotoGP World Championship lead after the Assen Sprint race. Despite not making the podium, Bezzecchi gained a point on his closest title rival Jorge Martin, who faded to fifth.
The race saw a dream one-two finish for Trackhouse Aprilia with Raul Fernandez and Ai Ogura. Meanwhile, Marc Marquez, the reigning champion, admitted he's back in title contention after slashing Bezzecchi's advantage.

Bezzecchi now leads the championship with 186 points, followed by Martin with 177 points and Fabio di Giannantonio with 164 points. The next grand prix will be crucial in determining the championship standings.
