Pecco Bagnaia has achieved his first race win of the 2026 season, defeating Ai Ogura in the Brno MotoGP sprint. Bagnaia took the lead from Ogura off the line and maintained it despite pressure from Ogura's Trackhouse Aprilia throughout the race.
Bagnaia's teammate Marc Marquez closed in on both leaders in the final laps, having escaped from Fabio Di Giannantonio's VR46 Ducati. Meanwhile, championship leader Marco Bezzecchi crashed for the fourth time in nine rounds, allowing Jorge Martin to cut his championship lead to 15 points.
The crash also elevated Martin into fifth place, behind Di Giannantonio, after he won a dice with Pedro Acosta, who later crashed out solo. LCR Honda rookie Diogo Moreira briefly starred in third but crashed before completing lap one.
