The Austrian Grand Prix has been declared a 'heat hazard' by the FIA due to expected high temperatures.
This declaration requires teams to fit a 'Driver Cooling System' to their cars, which includes a pump, plumbing, and thermal store to provide additional cooling for drivers.

Drivers have the option to wear a special fireproof vest with the cooling system, but are not required to do so. McLaren driver Oscar Piastri plans to use the vest, while Red Bull's Isack Hadjar is not planning to use it.
