Kimi Antonelli has secured pole position for the Monaco Grand Prix with a stunning final lap in Q3. The Italian teenager made significant gains overnight, improving on his fifth-place finish on the first day of running. Antonelli's lap was just enough to edge out Red Bull rival Max Verstappen, who will start alongside him on the front row.
Antonelli credited his team for the 'massive' overnight gains, which allowed him to top the third and final practice session before qualifying. He will start Sunday's Grand Prix ahead of Verstappen, Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton, and Charles Leclerc.

With this pole position, Antonelli is now focused on converting it into his fifth successive victory of the campaign and extending his 43-point advantage over George Russell in the Drivers' Championship.
