Kimi Antonelli told the media on Thursday that embracing each race weekend has become a major factor in his performance as he heads to the Barcelona‑Catalunya Grand Prix on the back of a five‑race winning streak.
The 19‑year‑old Italian has claimed victories in China, Japan, Miami, Canada and Monaco, leaving him 66 points clear of Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton and two points ahead of teammate George Russell. Antonelli recalled a period of self‑doubt during his rookie 2025 season, especially during a tough European stretch, but said the challenges helped him mature both on and off the car. He now feels no lingering uncertainty and is focused on how far he can still grow.

Looking ahead, Antonelli said the Barcelona circuit will be the first standard‑track test for Mercedes’ new aerodynamic package introduced in Canada, where cold conditions masked its full potential. He expects the upgrade to reveal its true lap‑time contribution, while reminding rivals that the championship battle is still open.
