Pedro Acosta’s second-place finish at the Aragon Grand Prix underscored his advantage over teammates at corner entry, according to KTM rider Enea Bastianini. Acosta, who finished 1.754 seconds behind race winner Marc Márquez, was 23.987 seconds clear of the next-best KTM rider, Bastianini, who struggled to match Acosta’s performance.
Bastianini praised Acosta’s confidence and consistency, noting that the Spaniard’s ability to "put all the pieces together" set him apart. The Italian admitted he has lost some of his own edge on corner entry—a skill he once excelled at—since joining KTM, making it difficult to replicate Acosta’s approach.
Acosta’s performance came after he challenged KTM during the summer break, pushing the team for better on-track results. Bastianini acknowledged the difficulty of Acosta’s ride, calling it "tough" and a clear demonstration of his growing strength in the championship.
