The Air Force plans to pursue a strategic competition to drive innovation in manufacturing and guarantee supply chain resiliency, with a focus on total lifecycle cost and reliable supply chains. Companies responding to the RFI will be required to provide details on their development and manufacturing timelines, as well as their ability to scale production and secure raw materials.
