Britain's military chief, Richard Knighton, has warned that the country is running out of time to boost its defenses in response to the threat posed by recent Russian actions.
The Defence Investment Plan, which will lay out funding for military equipment and services, has been delayed due to budget rows within the government.
Defence Minister John Healey has stated that Prime Minister Keir Starmer is determined to publish the plan before the July 7 NATO summit, as the country seeks to move its armed forces to a state of 'warfighting readiness'.
