The Falaj 3, an offshore patrol vessel of the United Arab Emirates, boasts an impressive array of advanced weaponry. Despite being only 200 feet long, it is equipped with a 76mm gun, surface-to-air missiles, and anti-ship missiles, making it one of the most heavily armed warships of its size.
The vessel's armament includes a Leonardo 76mm OTO Super Rapid gun, an eight-cell vertical launch system with MBDA VL MICA surface-to-air missiles, and a 21-cell Raytheon Mk 49 launcher for the RIM-116 Rolling Airframe Missile. It also features four MM40 Exocet Block 3C anti-ship missiles and two 12-cell Low-cost Guided Imaging Rocket launchers.

The Falaj 3's design reflects a trend in naval warfare towards smaller, more heavily armed vessels, allowing navies to field larger numbers of ships with credible capabilities. Its compact size and significant firepower make it an ideal platform for operations in the Persian Gulf, where naval combat often occurs at short ranges.
