War on the Rocks and the Royal United Services Institute will host a joint webinar on September 23 to discuss U.S. and European perspectives on nuclear deterrence. The event, titled *The Atlantic Brief: U.S. and European Perspectives on Nuclear Deterrence*, runs from 12:00 to 1:00 PM ET and features experts with decades of experience in armed forces, diplomacy, and foreign policy.
The panel will focus on America’s extended nuclear deterrence, the roles of British and French nuclear forces, and implications for NATO. Speakers include Ankit Panda of the Carnegie Endowment, Paul van Hooft of RAND Europe, and Tom McKane, a former U.K. Ministry of Defence director general. Kerry Anderson and Matthew Savill will moderate the discussion.
