Thales Australia has developed a fully functioning, armed unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) called the Guardian Angel in just six weeks. The four-wheeled UGV has already completed live-fire testing.
The project was driven by the aim to keep Australian troops safe and showcases Thales Australia's ability to meet the nation's defense and security needs.
The Guardian Angel features a low-cost Remote Operated Weapon PLATTform, with a Dillon M134D Minigun, and its completion paves the way for future platforms with capabilities such as medical evacuation and fire support.
