Hizballah's risk strategy has successfully linked the Lebanon conflict to US-Iran negotiations, forcing Washington to address the issue. The group's calibrated attacks, including drone strikes, have raised the cost of Israeli presence in southern Lebanon and strained US-Israeli relations.
The campaign has been marked by a surge in attacks on Israeli forces and equipment, particularly after Israel crossed the Litani River in May. Hizballah's drone campaign has also targeted Israeli command and control nodes, degrading their air defense systems and slowing decision cycles.

The US-Iran framework agreement, announced on June 15, included a commitment to terminate military operations in Lebanon. However, the agreement has not resolved the conflict, and Iranian attacks on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz have led to US strikes and a declaration that the ceasefire is over.
